Termite attack is actually on the increase due to
the reduction in the natural food supply.

The termite population actually outweighs humans.

How is this possible ?
The supposedly magical plastic
box system was developed,
manufactured and marketted
BEFORE certain aspects of
termite hunting behaviour were
observed and field tested.

TERMALERT® DOES IT !!
PLASTIC BOXES CAN'T !!

TERMALERT® CREATES
GOOD THERMAL SHADOWS

TERMALERT®

BASED ON THE 'ACTUAL' BEHAVIOUR OF TERMITES.
Buried large mass devices go part way.
Buried plastic boxes fail miserably.
Designed and manufactured by the same
man who indicated a fatal flaw in a device
designed by a university entymological team.
Until recently it has been assumed that termites have
blundered around in the soil searching for food. All current
expensive plastic boxes are based on this assumption.
Scientists have observed behaviour that flies in the face
of accepted theories. Unfortunately for the corporations
who designed, manufactured and marketted the plastic
boxes, their current devices simply cannot mimic the
termites' natural' food source.
Termites are the world's greatest conservationists and
we can learn a great deal from them ( apart from eating
our dead and using fecal matter to build with ).
They do NOT blunder around wasting resources.

EASY INSTALLATION & INSPECTION
1. Select installation spots using easy to follow instructions.
2
. Fix on soil or dig out until face of monitor just above soil line.
3. Inspect every 1 or 2 months ( depending on termite risk in your area ).
4. Call the pest man when termite activity spotted.
HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS
Termites search for food and water by digging a extensive network of underground tunnels. Termalert® monitors, installed so that top face is flush with the soil level ( making it
lawnmower friendly ) are much more effective than expensive plastic box systems.
When they enter either of the specially designed inspection wells they instinctively
block out ( with mud ) any light entering the window. When you see signs of this 'mudding'
simply call in a pest man to treat the termites ( if necessary§ ) using the 'active link'
created between the monitor and the nest. The termites that are now travelling back
and forth at the monitor will spread the treatment to the main nest to help eliminate the
source of the threat. You will save thousands during the 'detection' phase then spend
a modest amount to 'treat' the termite colony.
WHY JUST BELOW THE GROUND ?
Directly on in contact with the top of the soil line is best but stability is too difficult to
achieve ( but if you can do it then the monitors can become ultimately effective ).
It has recently been discovered that termites can actually sense the presence of potential food sources laying on the ground and attack them in preference to identical food sources buried in the soil. This explains why simple pieces of wood laying on the ground are attacked more readily than expensive plastic boxes buried in the soil. Wood will do what a plastic box can't, and that is cast a thermal shadow that alerts termites to the presence of food. This is how termites find fallen wood in nature.
They can differentiate between organic and in-organic objects laying on the ground.
§ Some termite species are more a nuisance than a threat.

As with ALL in-ground systems there is a chance that the termites may not strike the bait and continue undetected towards your house frame. Worse still, termites could have already been in your home BEFORE you installed an in-ground monitoring system.Despite what some makers claim, termites will not abandon a 'banquet' ( your home ) to search your backyard for scraps of timber. Once they get in to a house frame the chances of earlydetection are not very good. Most termite damage is years old in spite of regular inspections.Don't throw your hands up in despair. We can help you monitor the 'inside' of your house as well. It's called the Termitronic™ System.

Disclaimer: TERMALERT® Termite Monitoring System will substantially reduce the risk of termites gaining entry to your property depending on 1. The number of baits you choose to install. and 2. The available areas for correct placement of baits. 3. The frequency of bait inspections. Monthly checks are recommended. However, as with all termite risk reduction systems TERMALERT® Termite Monitoring System cannot and should not be relied upon for 100% protection. Regular annual or bi-annual inspections by a termite professional are recommended in the Australian Standards. Additional risk reduction measures may be required in certain cases. No warranty or guarantee against termites is offered or inferred by TERMALERT® Termite Monitoring System. Individual TERMALERT® Termite Monitors come with a 12 month defect warranty and will be replaced FREE. The life expectancy of a TERMALERT® Termite Monitor is 2 - 5 years depending on
the moisture content of the soil.
