TERMALERT®
Welcome to my web page*.
Shout " BRING IT ON " at those home wreckers.

This system is used in entymological field studies.
Specially modified wooden stakes with a stopper
on top to pull out and inspect for termites.
It's so much cheaper yet as good as any other system.

Brief history.
Termite attacked home became mine
( and the bank's ).
Pest man gave me options.
Recovered from the financial shock.
Developed and patented monitors for 'inside' homes.
( after deep research revealed that absolutely no inground systems are perfect )
Developed Termalert® as an easy to use and
affordable in-ground monitoring system.
Termalert WORKED !!
Patted self on back.

Entymologists won't use fancy UFO style termite monitors at 20 times the price for the same level of termite detection.
I simply added some modern improvements.
The rubber stopper had to go.
Termites can scatter if you disturb them too often.
X-ray glasses are just a novelty joke.
I solved that little problem for DIY homeowners.
Growing flowers and vegetables is a pleasure.
Inspecting termite monitors is a chore.
Termalert will never be a pleasure to inspect but
is guaranteed to provide the most minimal of chores.
Have a fantastic day.

HOW TERMALERT® WORKS
EVERY termite baiting system is based on the same principle. Termite food is placed
into the soil and termites find it during their relentless exploration for food and water.
With TERMALERT® specially shaped and modified termite baits are installed into the soil
surrounding homes. Foraging termites encounter the baits and begin to consume them.
When they enter the specially designed and sealed inspection chamber they instinctively block out light by layering the underside of the transperent inspection port with mud.
When this mud is seen you call a pest man to eliminate the termite colony.
Each 'termite active' monitor is now a 'living link' to the main nest through which termites
will travel back and forth distributing a termite killing agent introduced by the pest man.
DIY termite 'treatment' is NOT recommended. The 'detection' phase will have saved you
thousands of dollars. The 'treatment' phase can cost you as little as $80.00

INSTALLATION & INSPECTION IS JUST TOO EASY !!

1. Select installation spots. Easy to follow instructions are
provided. If unsure seek the advice of a qualified pest professional.
2. Dig holes by hand. We do NOT recommend simply hammering
them in. You may accidentally damage underground piping ( electrical
conduits, water, drainage etc ). Secondly you will be creating a
compacted termite resistant soil zone around the monitor.
There is also an advantage to be gained by digging out a hole.
Examination of the removed soil will reveal current termite activity.
3. Insert monitors. Insert each monitor and mildly compact the
removed soil around it. The bigger the initial hole the better.
Many good professional pest men dig out holes much larger and deeper
to create termite friendly zones around monitors. Termites conserve
energy by exploring more readily through soil which offers less resistance.
4. Finished level. The finished level for the monitor top is not critical.
Just above the soil line will make them easier to find during regular inspections.
5. Periodically inspect. Every month or 2 simply inspect each monitor
for signs of mudding on the underside of the clear windows. Termite sign is
so easy to see that a 5 year old child can do the inspections for you.
see mud = call pest man.
The pest man will either pop the window and directly treat the active termites,
couple the active monitor to a food source containing an effective termiticide or
use a bait box ( Trap Treat Release ) system ( recommended ).

FRIENDLY CAUTION
I cannot prevent you from making your own version of Termalert® but the
ommission of certain non-toxic components will impair the efficacy of your own version.

As with ALL in-ground systems there is a chance that the termites may not strike the bait and continue undetected towards your house frame. Worse still, termites may already be in your
home BEFORE you install an in-ground monitoring system.Despite what some makers claim, termites will not abandon a 'banquet' ( your home ) to search your backyard for scraps of timber.
Once they get into a house frame the chances of early detection are not very good. Most termite damage is years old in spite of regular inspections.Don't throw your hands up in despair.
We can help you monitor the 'inside' of your home as well. It's called the Termitronic™ System.

Disclaimer: TERMALERT® Termite Monitoring System will substantially reduce the risk of termites gaining entry to your property depending on 1. The number of baits you choose to instal
and 2. The available areas for correct placement of baits. 3. The frequency of bait inspections. Monthly checks are recommended. However, as with all termite risk reduction systems
TERMALERT® Termite Monitoring System cannot and should not be relied upon for 100% protection. Regular annual or bi-annual inspections by a termite professional are recommended
in the Australian Standards. Additional risk reduction measures may be required in certain cases. No warranty or guarantee against termites is offered or inferred by
TERMALERT® Termite Monitoring System. Individual TERMALERT® Termite monitors come with a 12 month defect warranty and will be replaced FREE.
The life expectancy of a TERMALERT® Termite Monitor is 2 - 5 years depending on soil conditions.
